TERMS & CONDITIONS

 1. PAYMENT

Full payment for products must be made at the time of purchase or, if agreed by Mounties Care, a deposit may be paid with the remaining payment made prior to delivery being arranged.

 2. STORAGE

You must collect or take delivery of the products within 14 days from the day that we notify you that they are available. If you fail to do so, Mounties Care may charge storage fees of $50 per delivery per week and/or cancel your order.

 3. DELIVERY

Delivery charges and estimated times will depend on where your product is being delivered. You must ensure the correct delivery address and access details are provided to us. We shall use all reasonable endeavours to meet the estimated delivery date and timeframe. However, you agree that Mounties Care is not and will not be liable for any loss or damage; however, it arises if the products are not delivered within a reasonable time after the estimated delivery date. Products will only be delivered if a person aged over 18 years and able to accept delivery is at the delivery address. If we can not deliver the product at the agreed time because no one is home, we will re-schedule the delivery, and another delivery fee will be charged.

 4. WARRANTY

All new Mobility Scooters and Powerchairs are supplied with a 12-month back to base manufacturer’s warranty on all parts (including batteries) and labour when the product fault is deemed to be one of faulty manufacturing.

Adjustable beds and lift chairs have their own manufacturer’s warranties, which differ on a case by case basis. The details of these warranties can be requested at any time. They do not include a back to base requirement.

  4.1 Warranty Exclusions

  • Reasonable wear and tear
  • Collision damage
  • Power surges
  • Water damage
  • Incorrect usage, neglect, or overloading
  • Unauthorised repair or maintenance
  • User negligence
  • Accidental damage
  • Overloading
  • Consumables such as tyres, tubes, brushes, globes, and fuses
  • Second-hand products - Warranty period depends on price and condition of product
  • The use of couriers or freight companies to transport products to and from Mounties Care for repair or service, unless authorised by Mounties Care 

 4.2 CALL OUT FEES

A call-out fee will be charged for a technician to attend your home, including assessing warranty matters. Please get in touch with us for our current fee schedule for your closest store. Please note that a prepayment of all service and repairs is required prior to Mounties Care attending. Prepayments can be made in a number of different ways including direct payments via bank transfer or credit card, and Purchase Orders from Support Organisations.

  4.3 RETURNS, CHANGE OF MIND & CHANGE OF CIRCUMSTANCE

For products collected and paid for at the time of purchase in-store, in addition to the rights granted by applicable statute (including the Australian Consumer Law), if you change your mind, you may return the product within 7 days of the date of purchase provided that the product is

  • Returned in its original new and unused condition
  • Is in its original unopened and sealed packaging
  • Is accompanied by proof of purchase (the sales receipt or another acceptable form of proof of purchase).
  • A 20% restocking fee is paid

 Excluded products are:

  • Bathroom Aids
  • Personal Hygiene Aids
  • Pillows
  • Mattresses
  • Clearance and sale of products;
  • Products sold as seconds, floor stock, repaired products, or products that have a defect where this has been drawn to the customer’s attention before the purchase of the product;
  • Upholstered and furniture products;
  • Made-to-order products – products that are made to individual customer specifications, including custom-made furniture products or custom fabric products, which have to be ordered specifically for a customer. Including Adjustable Beds, bed surrounds, headboards, Lift and recline chairs and more.
  • Any Delivery, Installation, postage or Set-up costs

Items posted are at the customer’s cost and risk, and Mounties Care shall not refund customers for any products that it does not receive or that it receives which are broken or damaged.

Except as set out above, Mounties Care shall not provide a refund or replacement if you simply change your mind unless Mounties Care chooses to do so at its absolute discretion.

 If Mounties Care does accept such cancellations/returns, the customer must pay an amount (restocking fee) of 20% of the full purchase price, excluding any delivery charges.

Mounties Care shall set off this amount against any money already paid to us by the customer for this product and refund the balance. For any cancellation charges over and above what has already been paid to Mounties Care, the customer must pay such amounts to Mounties Care within 7 days of Mounties Care’s request to pay.

5. SUPPORT ORGANISATIONS

If a client no longer requires a product ordered from Mounties Care due to a severe and unexpected change in circumstance, Mounties Care will cancel an existing order and charge a restocking fee of 20% to the Support Organisation. Provided that

  • The product has not yet been delivered.

If Mounties Care does accept such cancellations/returns, the customer must pay an amount (restocking fee) of 20% of the full purchase price, excluding any delivery charges.

Mounties Care shall set off this amount against any sums of money already paid to us by the Support Organisation for this product and refund the balance. For any cancellation charges over and above what has already been paid to Mounties Care, the Support Organisation must pay such amounts to Mounties Care within 7 days of Mounties Care’s request to pay.

6. Complimentary Roadside assistance

Mounties Care has engaged a 3rd party for this service. Mounties Care reserves the right to discontinue this promotion at any time and/or change the inclusions. All claims have to go directly through 24/7 Roadservices Australia and are governed by the Terms and Conditions found on their website
